Another weekend in paradise.

There is nothing better than a boyfriend who cooks, rides bikes, and fixes stuff.

Sunday while I had the pleasure of doing homework Christian cooked Schnitzel for me. I have to admit, the dude can cook. He is pictured here hammering the meat. (Yes, that is my nail hammer wrapped in foil.)

Hmmm.. what else? We rode up Lookout Mountain, sawed open a cabnet so we can check out the leaky sewer line, and held hands in the park. He also puts up with my bad singing in church, by claping his hands off beat.
And even though he can win every foot race, dropping him off at the airport is still a little tearful.

Oh happy day.

OK.. two things I heart the most arrived on the same day. (In no particular order)
1. My dude. aka 'Christian'.
2. My new bike. Now named 'stinger'.
Good times.

The Impossible

Will my new bike ever be ready?
Will the rain in Denver ever stop?
Will Micah beat me in a foot race when she comes into town?

My friend Shannon (hi Shannon) was telling me about a song on the radio.
"You say I love you,
I say you betta, you betta you betta you betta."

LOL.

120 Mile weekend.

What a great weekend. I rode my bike ALL weekend. Life is good again.
Here is the problem. I am o-u-t of bike shape. My body hurts. My hair cannot get used to this bike helmet idea.
Help?!
Ok. I gotta write a paper.
Will school ever be over?
P.S. My dude will be in Colorado in T minus 3 days.
I am a lucky girl.

Be the change you would like to see in the world.

How 'bout helping make a difference?
This year, the two bike teams I will be riding for and raising money for are the Marcia Mounsey Foundation and the Colorado Children's Law center. Both are notable organizations that help kids live better lives.

I just want to say that self-less-ly I will be riding my bike in the hot Colorado sun, up God's georgeous mountains just for kids. Yeah.. it is going to be a tough task waking up every Saturday just to train. But you know, as a tireless biker, someone has to do it.
So what do you say?
Wanna sponsor me?
Wanna help kids?
(Just click HERE to go to my personal fundraising site). Or Here OR HERE.. get it? got it? Good.

HHHHHH-okay

Sitting in church my newpew whispers to me:
Mario: Auntie, who ruled the earth before God and Jesus and the dinosaurs?
Me: God was always in charge.
Mario: What did he eat?

It has been a great weekend. Not really. Ok.. kinda. I tutored some math, watched a G-rated movie that was actually kinda creepy, dyed some Easter eggs with my niece and nephew, and a bunch of college friends, and to cap it all off, I did some homework. Life is good.

Is it already Sunday night? Don't get me wrong I love my job. Really. I am just SOOOOOO tired of getting dressed up. I am so tired of thinking about matching my brown shoes with a brown belt and ironing my wrinkle free shirts, and taking showers everyday. Ok.. maybe I am not tired of matching.

Hasi Time

So now it is time to talk about one of my favorite times of year. It happens every April-ish. Nope, I am not talking about the Final Four basket ball tourney, or even the Denver Broncos trading their favorite players for magical beans, or the IRS auditing people who wrote equations instead of numbers on their checks in the amount box. I am talking about Easter.

What is the actual date of Easter? Well I will tell you it is the Sunday after the last XFL game and before the Colorado Avalanche are statictically eliminated from the playoffs. Hmm.. maybe not. The actual date is a sort of equation involving 132 new and old testiment players, Indian Jones' Arc of the covenant movie and a computer model simulating actual events. Or not.

What I do know.. it is a celebration life. So when you are figuring out if you should eat the marshmellow bunny or the chocolate egg first, take a second to think...Easter celebrates the ressurection of Jesus, which Christians believe occurred on the third day after his death by crucifixion to save man.

Bottom line...it is a celebration of life, not just finding Easter eggs.

Ticket please.

Ahh.. there is nothing like avoiding homework by doing everything else.

I kicked the weekend off by eating some sprinke-ly birthday cake (Happy Birthday Shannon). Then my sister and 'The crew' and I went and saw Flogging Molly, an Irish punk rock band. We were so punk rock. Way to mosh Geordie.

Needless to say, early Saturday morning when I was helping marshall the CSM cycling 'hill climb' I was wide awake. Winning time Saturday in this 4.3 mile monstrosity was 18:18. For the love.

After a needed nap, I picked up the girls, and we went to Vail to watch 2 friends from the karate school fight in 'Battle Quest 5- The Avalanche'. What a hoot.

This is a picture of Jessee Henley, ouch.

The end. (I gotta do homework now.)
Love the madness, D-Yos.
